About Riscord

Riscord is a text-based visual novel that takes place inside of an instant messaging application between the summer of 2016 and the summer of 2018.  You’ll explore relationships with multiple college / sixth form students such as Lizzy, Peter, Laura, Austin and many more to be announced.


Each decision made will impact the narrative of the game in various ways. The ramifications of these actions may not be felt until many episodes later, but some of the smallest actions will have some of the most significant consequences.


Riscord will cover various controversial issues such as cyber-bullying, gender identity, mental health and much more during through its entirety. If you are currently experiencing any of these, please reach out and talk to someone.

We’re creating a diverse group of characters that will be featured in Riscord, all with their own likes, dislikes, traits and relationships as you progress through the game your choices will impact their lives which could have a positive effect or adverse effect on your relationship with them.

Riscord will feature the Seagulls an Indie Rock band from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Music from their debut album Great Pine, will be featured throughout Riscord. You can listen to their debut album on Spotify now.

  • When is Riscord releasing?

    We currently don't know when Riscord will be released but we will update whenever we have a fixed released date for it.

  • Why is Riscord an episodic game?

    Riscord is an episodic game as it allows us to focus on delivering quality content that has been robustly tested by our quality assurance team as well as the size of the development team here at the studio.

  • How many episodes will Riscord have?

    Riscord will have eight episodes that introduce you to new characters, story arcs and continuation of the narrative of the game.

  • Will you be adding more characters with each new episode?

    Every new episode will feature at least two new supporting characters and will feature up to six new cameo characters for you to discover.

  • Will Riscord have any DLC?

    Riscord currently has four DLC's planned featuring new characters and different protagonists, but the last episode is intended to wrap up the events of the main story and the overall story arc for the DLC episodes. 

  • Will Riscord feature microtransactions ?

    Riscord will never feature microtransactions as they don't fit the premise of the game and many members of our board of directors believe that microtransactions are predatory.
